Sizefolk terms of service

Last updated: 29 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you, the merchant who installs Sizefolk, and AB LABS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (“we”). By installing or using Sizefolk you accept them, including the data processing terms in part 2. Shopify’s own terms also apply to your use of Shopify and the Shopify App Store.

Part 1: Using Sizefolk

The service

Sizefolk lets you create size charts and show them on your Shopify storefront as a size guide, with optional features such as garment drawings, Find my size recommendations, size guide analytics and sizing insights from your return reasons. Features depend on your plan, as described on the Plans page in the app.

Plans and billing

  • Paid plans are billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice, monthly or yearly, at the price shown when you subscribe. Paid plans include a 14-day free trial.
  • You can cancel or change plan at any time in the app. Cancelling stops future charges; we don’t refund the current billing period, except where the law or Shopify’s refund rules require it.
  • Your price won’t change while you stay subscribed to the same plan, and Shopify always asks you to approve any new price.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the size charts, measurements and fit notes you publish. Find my size gives an estimate from the shopper’s own measurements and your charts; it is guidance, not a guarantee of fit.
  • Don’t use Sizefolk to break the law, to infringe anyone’s rights, or to interfere with the app or other merchants’ use of it.
  • You are responsible for your own store’s privacy notice to your customers.

Your content and ours

Your size charts remain yours. You give us permission to store and display them only to provide the app to you. Sizefolk itself, including its software, drawings, templates and design, belongs to AB LABS LTD; you may use it in your store while you have the app installed.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Sizefolk running and secure, but we can’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or remove features; if we remove a feature from a paid plan you’re on, we’ll tell you in advance.

Liability

Sizefolk is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, sales or data, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Sizefolk at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously break these terms, or with 30 days’ notice if we stop offering the app. What happens to your data then is described in part 2.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app before they take effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

Part 2: Data processing terms

This part applies when Sizefolk processes personal data on your behalf, under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and similar laws. For that data you are the controller and AB LABS LTD is your processor. Our privacy policy describes all the data the app handles.

What we process and why

  • Sizing insights: when you open Sizing insights, Sizefolk reads the returned items on your orders from the last 60 days through the Shopify API: the product, quantity, price and return reason of each returned item. It does not read customer names, emails, addresses or phone numbers. It keeps only totals per product, which contain no personal data.
  • Find my size: measurements a shopper enters stay in the shopper’s own browser. They are never sent to us or to you.
  • Size guide counts: opens and unit switches are counted without cookies; an IP address is held briefly in memory to stop abuse and is never stored.

We process this data only to provide Sizefolk’s features to you, following your instructions as set by how you use the app, and never sell it, use it for advertising or combine it with other merchants’ data.

Our commitments

  • Confidentiality: only people who need access to run the app have it, and they are bound by confidentiality.
  • Security: data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest in our database, and access is restricted to what’s needed to run the app.
  • Sub-processors: we use Fly.io (Virginia, USA) and Neon (Ohio, USA) to host the app and its database. We’ll update this page before adding a new sub-processor, and require each one to protect the data to the same standard.
  • Transfers: our hosting is in the United States. Transfers from the UK or EU rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK addendum, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
  • Your customers’ requests: we’ll help you answer requests to access or delete personal data. Because we keep no personal data about your customers, Shopify’s customer data requests and deletions are answered automatically.
  • Breaches: we’ll tell you without undue delay, and within 72 hours of becoming aware, of a personal data breach affecting your store, with the information you need to meet your own obligations.
  • Deletion: when you uninstall Sizefolk, Shopify sends us a deletion request 48 hours later and we delete all data for your store. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
  • Information: on reasonable request, we’ll give you the information you need to show these terms are being met.
